BODMAS is the same only indices is called ‘order’
BIDMAS
This means Brackets Indices
Division Multiplication Addition
Subtraction
Order of operation
Calculations are carried out in this order
For example        3 x 2 + 6
(no brackets or indices so multiplication comes first)
3 x 2 = 6 so 6 + 6 = 12

           3 x (2 + 6)    (brackets come first)
2 + 6 = 8, so  3 x 8 = 24
3    - 3 x 2      (indices first then
                multiplication
                   then subtraction)
3  = 9,  3 x 2 = 6
so
9 - 6 = 3
2
2
33  x  4 -1 +(3+2)     Brackets first. 3 + 2 = 5
so now we have  33  x 4 – 1 + 5
Indices next.  33 = 27 so now we have 27 x 4 – 1 + 5
multiplication next  27 x 4 = 108
so now we have 108 – 1 + 5 = 112
Answer = 112
